GigTwist is a marketplace connecting venues with musicians for live bookings. By using GigTwist, you agree to these terms. GigTwist charges a 15% platform fee on all bookings.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. When you submit a booking request, your card is authorized for the full amount — this places a temporary hold but does not charge you. You are only charged if and when the musician accepts the booking. If the musician declines or does not respond within 48 hours, the hold is released automatically.
A 15% platform fee is added on top of the musician's rate and paid by the venue. Musicians receive their full agreed rate, less Stripe's processing fee (2.9% + $0.30), which is deducted at settlement. Funds are held by GigTwist until 24 hours after the scheduled gig end time, at which point payment is automatically released to the musician unless a dispute has been raised.
The 15% platform fee is non-refundable for venue cancellations. Refund percentages below apply to the musician's rate only.

Musicians who accumulate 3 strikes may have their account suspended.
Either party may raise a dispute within 24 hours of the gig's scheduled end time. Once a dispute is raised, payment is frozen and GigTwist will review the case within 24 hours. GigTwist's decision is final.
All communication must remain within the GigTwist platform. Sharing contact details, arranging off-platform payments, or attempting to bypass GigTwist fees is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.
Musicians are responsible for ensuring their profile accurately represents their skills, experience, and availability. Venues are responsible for accurately describing their events and requirements.
Boost purchases are non-refundable. Boosts are consumable and expire after the selected duration (7 or 30 days). GigTwist reserves the right to modify boost pricing at any time.
GigTwist acts as a marketplace and is not responsible for the quality of performances or events. GigTwist's liability is limited to the platform fee collected on any given booking.
GigTwist reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, receive excessive disputes, or engage in fraudulent activity.
GigTwist may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
GigTwist has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You may not post, upload, send, or link to:
Report anything that breaks these rules using the Report option on any profile, review, message, gig posting, or uploaded file, or email admin@gig-twist.com. We review every report within 24 hours. Content that violates these terms is removed, and the accounts responsible may be suspended or permanently terminated without refund. You can also block any other user from their profile or a message thread, which stops all contact between you.
You keep ownership of the photos, video, audio, text, and links you upload. By uploading them you grant GigTwist a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display that content within the app and on your public profile, for as long as your account exists.
You represent that you hold all necessary rights in what you upload. For recordings of songs you did not write, this includes any rights needed for the recording you are sharing as a sample of your work — GigTwist does not obtain those rights on your behalf.
If you believe content on GigTwist infringes your copyright or trademark, report it using the Report option and choose “Copyright or trademark”, or email admin@gig-twist.com with the work concerned, where it appears in the app, and your contact details. We review takedown requests within 24 hours and remove infringing content. Repeat infringers lose their accounts.
GigTwist is for adults. You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account, because using GigTwist means entering binding booking agreements and, for musicians, receiving payouts to a bank account. You confirm your age when you sign up. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it.
