Everything below can be handled from inside the app under Settings → Contact Support, but you can always email us instead — a real person reads it.
We respond to every message, and to reports of objectionable content or abusive behaviour, within 24 hours.
Anything a user has created can be reported from inside the app — profiles, reviews, messages, gig postings, and uploaded photos, video, or audio. Look for the report option on the item itself.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaks our rules is removed, and the accounts responsible may be suspended or permanently terminated. You can also email us with a description of the content and where to find it.
Open their profile or your message thread with them and choose Block. Blocking stops all contact between you in both directions.
If you currently have an active booking with that person, cancel the booking first — we don't let a block cut off communication while money and a commitment are still in play. Reporting a user never has this restriction, and neither does emailing us.
To see who you've blocked, or to unblock someone, go to Settings → Blocked Users.
If a gig didn't go as agreed, either side can raise a dispute in the app within 24 hours of the gig's scheduled end time. Payment freezes as soon as a dispute is raised and we review the case within 24 hours.
Some things worth knowing before you get in touch:
Payouts are handled by Stripe, which verifies your identity and bank details directly — GigTwist never sees them. Verification usually takes a few minutes but can take longer, and you'll be notified when it completes. You can accept bookings once Stripe has finished verifying your account.
If verification seems stuck, or a payout hasn't arrived when you expected it, email us with the date of the gig and we'll look into it.
Settings → Download My Data gives you a copy of everything we hold on you, as a JSON file covering your profile, bookings, messages, reviews, gig postings, expressions of interest, availability, and registered devices.
Settings → Delete Account deletes your account. Upcoming bookings are cancelled and refunded and your uploaded media is removed. Some records are kept where the law requires it — our Privacy Policy lists exactly what and why. If a payout is mid-flight, deletion may be blocked briefly; try again shortly, or email us.
Choose "Forgot password?" on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link. If the link has expired, request a new one from the app.
If you believe content on GigTwist infringes your copyright or trademark, report it in the app using the report option and choose "Copyright or trademark", or email us with the work concerned, where it appears in the app, and your contact details. We review takedown requests within 24 hours.
